Cheese Sandwich Day!
In some sort of spat between a professional food writer and the world of food bloggers, in which the pro said food blogs are as interesting as cheese sandwiches, the food blog community is apparently celebrating Cheese Sandwiches today! So, support your favorite food bloggers, and have a cheese sandwich! I prefer a grilled cheese on 100% whole wheat bread, with a mix of sharp cheddar and plastic American cheese. Mmm, cheese sandwiches...Labels: food

Mmmm....64 slices of american cheese...
Actually I hadn't thought of mixing the american with the cheddar, but it sounds divine. I have been craving a grilled cheese lately, and meant to fix one last night, but got caught up in the fascination I have with shopping at the Trade Fair, and consequently got home kind of late, I had to opt for a fried cheese arepa instead.
If you didn't have the link there I would think you were making this up ... :)
So far I've only seen this in one other food blog (of the dozen or so I read), so maybe I am! Or maybe we food bloggers are being kept down by The Man, and are too intimidated to fight back with grilled cheese sandwiches...? Hard to know...

Harlan, I still want to make myself a cheese sammich and write about it, like everyone else did. I know there was an "official day" but who says it can't be everyday, right?
